Instructors from Paragon Brazilian Jiu Jitsu of Santa Maria will be volunteering with the local chapter of the FoodBank of Santa Barbara County this friday at Evans Park in Santa Maria. The effort will be part of the Healthy School Pantry program which educates the community about nutrition and health.
Paragon BJJ's involvement is part of a conscientious effort to get involved in the local community and to serve a need that exist in our area. The mission of the Foodbank of Santa Barbara County is to provide nourishment to those in need by acquiring and distributing safe nutritious foods via local agencies and providing education to solve hunger and nutrition problems in Santa Barbara County. A big thanks goes out to Darlene Chavez of the FoodBank of Santa Barabara County for her coordination and efforts. If you would like to volunteer with the FoodBank, Ms. Chavez can be reached at (805) 937-8750. Let's get involved people!
